I'm into Fender blackface amps, and I think it's a goddamn shame that Fender doesn't have a bigger selection of vintage reissues in their series of amps that they call "vintage reissue"

I for one would love to see the return of the pro reverb for instance. Looks like a twin with more manageable power, I'd love to be able to buy a used or maybe even a new one. Vintage ones are stupid expensive in this part of the world.

There's a "twin custom 15" and a "deluxe reverb head" and hor rod combos in all shapes and colors, but no sight of iconic fender amps like the tweed deluxe or '65 bassman???

They probably didn't do a Pro, because they did a Twin and a Vibrolux, and the Pro kinda splits the difference. And Supers are huge. A reissue blackface bassman would be cool though.

And if you really want a tweed deluxe, there's plenty of builders and kits...circuit will be pretty identical, it just won't come from the Fender factory. Also, not cheap.

I think you could get a real deal blackface bassman head for the same price as what a reissue would cost (~850).
Even silverface pro reverbs cost less than a new twin or deluxe reissue.
While I realize "iconic" can be subjective, I think the current line hits the majority of the iconic amps.
The real shame is that none of the reissues cop the true blackface sound.
