Mr. Echo 'Slam'/Freakout Feature

Hey guys,
I've been borrowing a red Mr. Echo from a band that I share a practice space with, and the slam/freakout switch on it fucking rules and is becoming a key part of what I'm doing. But I don't really care for it in terms of delay. Does anyone know of another delay pedal that has a similar slam/freak out switch? I would even take just a switch that just does the slam. Don't want to have someone take it apart as it belongs to someone else.

I think the Switch sets the Delay Time to the shortest available one. That effect won't work Without a Delay: you Need sth. In the Delay Buffer to get the change in pitch.
I Dream of a Delay with a temporary Switch that doubles the Delay Time (Pitch change one octave down, release one octave up).

The RM-1N has an oscillation button. As does the Roland Space Echo modeling thing (the RE-20), the Line 6 Echo Park can do this and I'm sure whatever pedal they replaced it with can. Caroline makes one, too, but I haven't played it.

Kilobyte is on my board.
It is an extremely good PT delay. Oscillation is nice. You can turn up the preamp a lot to get the delay chip to clip which gives it a nicely cruddy lofi feel without being total filth. It doesn't ever get filthy. It's polite dirt. But still, great fun.

If the slam function just jacks the delay time can you get close with Tap tempo?
Gotta listen to demos

Hey guys thanks for the quick replies.
I've played a Caroline Kilobyte it's a wonderful pedal and the oscillate switch is great, but not at all like what the Mr. Echo does. The Kilobyte oscillate is pretty clean even in lo-fi settings. The Mr. Echo slam sounds like this at 3:15
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9SxBjRei90 (terrible demo but this illustrates the slam feature better than a lot of others do). On the newer versions there is a 5th Slam setting knob, I don't really get the mechanics of it. But the version I'm playing is like the on in this demo. I guess it sounds like when your 'feedback' setting is set high enough to oscillate and your slowly decrease delay time, but it sort of caps itself and then bottoms out when you let go of the switch, it rapidly oscillates and pitches up and then back down when you let go.
will def check out other suggestions thanks guys..but maybe i just need to go with this pedal for this feature.

Yeah that's definitely a lot dirtier than the kilobyte. Will think on it.

Guys, it is a fixed Delay Time... 30ms and higher repeats... Not oscillation.
The effect occurs because of the Delay Time Shift. I wrote it already. So whatever

Hey man not only can I not read he asked for 'similar' and I just assumedthat was an osc. button because every delay freakout ever talked about ever is typically an osc. stomp so ok you're not wrong.

Similar in case of turning the delay Time knob, like you know
There is nothing i know.
With Midi you could do this with the Moog 104m...

hey uni thanks for your reply, sorry I didn't understand your initial response but that makes sense...obviously showing my noob-ishness.
that rm-1n unit is pretty nutso. seems like it kind of does something similar sonically by different means. not sure i need that whole package but a pretty cool pedal.

Any delay with expression pedal control of delay time, if you're cool with rocking an exp pedal. Also, check out Hypnodrones LSDelay.
