ANYWAY
The reason that there's Chinese on the cover is because Kannon is actually the feminine aspect of the Buddha, the woman who hears the prayers of people. The liner notes were specially commissioned. Apparently they're going to be an Asian studies professor explaining several Chinese Buddhist religious concepts and how they relate to the music.

It is. If it's larger than say, 900, ILF cuts the side right off. Album art will be stunning IRL. Southern Lord uses Stoughton printing for all their jackets, like Third Man Records... big thick jackets with high-res art glued on. If you preorder you get a 7" too

I haven't preordered it but I did read an interview with O'Malley the other day that was pretty cool. I think those dudes do a good job of trying to explain to people that smart metalheads are a thing, even though we're probably headed back to a dip in popular culture relevance.
