I'm going to start posting the occasional sound clip of pedals or settings that I like and use on bass. Gonna start with this weirdness but expect things to get a lot more normal in the future!

Mountainking Electronics Heavy Machine

I might redo this one, I forgot to bring headphones to the practice space so I used my cab as a monitor, now on playback I hear a weird tinkling glass artifact in the recording... maybe someone more experienced with DAWs or Logic X could tell me what went wrong here. Anyways, here you go.

Parallel split from clean signal into Zvex Woolly Mammoth on one side, H9 octave down with the volume down and full wet on other side, mixed together before hitting the FX deFormer low pass filter. You can hear the weird chirping sounds produced by the cutoff control of the FX deFormer at the beginning and end of the clip. Last time you'll hear me record the FX deFormer, sending it back and the Little deFormer 2 should be here soon!

Dry run, proof of concept recording of a new project. Using the Gotharman's Fuzion as a sequencer for everything while my friend Geoff does poetry. This is just some pads on a soft synth, not very Gotharman-esque. We recorded it mostly to check the set-up and get levels but it come out pretty nice so I'm sharing it.

This project will become a podcast at some point in the future so if you like it I'll let you know how to subscribe some day.

Thanks! Yes it's easy to get lost in the drone zone, every time I start to build a patch with a purpose I end up somewhere different than I thought I was going. That has been one of the best parts about it.
