Well, I'm sure whichever arm you buy will be fine. I'm pretty sure the arm from my friends MIM Jazzmaster fit in my CIJ Jag. If you bought it for shoegaze stuff then the longer the better.

I personally like buying vibratos that aren't for the guitar you're putting it on. :wow what a fantastic idea you have there:

....... :wow what a fantastic idea you have there:
Would a jazzmaster tremolo arm fit in a stratocaster bridge?

Haven't tried that combo yet :idk: Of course, if it doesn't fit go Kevin Shields style and tape it on.

its the actual size of the arm to fit into the hole some arms are thicker then others i think
and its going on my esquier tele some pop in and some screw in

I've never seen a Jag/JM arm that screwed in. They've all been pop-in in my experience (I have an AVRI JM and my bandmate's got a MIJ Jag). The only difference I've noticed in the arms is that the MIJ arm is the same diameter all the way down, whereas the AVRI arm has a (very) slightly smaller diameter at the very end. I don't really know why...I think both arms could fit either guitar IIRC.

VDP, as far as putting a Jag/JM arm in your strat, I'm not so sure that would work since most strat arms are threaded therefore most strat trem holes are threaded...if you have a pop-in arm for your strat though, that may be worth a shot. :idk:

I've wanted to get a cheapo guitar for a while and just put in new pickups and a new bridge. Give it a complete tune-up, you know. Unfortunately, however, a decent bridge is mad expensive and I'd probably go for a bigsby and some lace sensors. So there's a couple hundred. Bummer. I just have no money
So ambitious but I don't have the meanssss

I really want a telecaster with a Jaguar trem.

But mine would look a lot cooler than that.

PS- Has anyone noticed that Bigsby Telecasters have Jag/Jazzy style threaded bridges? :?:

Are you familiar with the Jag trem? (NOT trying to sound like a dick) It doesn't spring back into place, you need to use an arm to move it back up.

Good luck with it though! :thumb:

haha thank u so much i was just actually coming here to ask that very question cause ive been playing with the trem and ive never used a jazzy or jag trem before and im like why the hell when i bend it doesnt return to pitch by itself like ive actually gotta pull it back up to put it back in pitch i was going crazy! lol
had to do some more mods to make it work but it sounds good now i think haha.

i was thinkin maybe like a stiffer spring would help push it back in tune by itself? possible? anybody got any tales to tell about it?
