Im looking for a guitar to tune to C standard. with HH or HSH configuration
I had a les paul clone to do this but as my main guitar is a American strat the les paul just does not feel comfortable. the thick body pushes into my ribs. "I have the guitar up pretty high"
So Id like a Stratocaster style body definitely with the belly cutout "even im not fat"
But I am not stuck on a certain brand and would also love at least a interesting color/pattern
Ive been looking at some Dean guitars Dean Guitars MAB-3 for example or an Ibanez.
budget wise id like it between 400 and 800 euro max as its a second guitar not for main use but stoner rock/metal
Besides fender Ibanez is one of the only I can try out localy. I can order plenty from online but then I don't get the chance to try which is why this question ;)

Any tips for a c tuned strat type nice looking guitar?
Thanks !

... another Strat? Find out which years they were made with a swimming-pool route, buy a new pickguard and 'buckers, and find someone who'll do a wiring job in exchange for a six pack.

IIRC, mexicasters have a bridge route large enough, but the neck would have to be opened up a bit. Something to think about, depending on how comfortable you are with power tools.

I'm looking for something similar. Strat with two humbuckers. I think I'm going to find a used one I like the feel of and just swap the pickguard and put in some humbuckers. I'm not terribly handy so I'll talk someone else into doing it.
