Ok, so you've got your noise box (and the new one, antagonist or whatever it is). What else does a similar sorta thing with the note your playing mixed with some noisey stuff which follows the envelope of the note?
Air space invader? (Tristan, I didn't check this out enough when I had the chance)
Anything else? It can be white noise, an oscillator or harmonic generator of some type. Anything.
Due to the whole space/cost/easiness-to-use trifecta, I'd go with the Rainger Air space invader, yep
Oh also... For more control and features you can go with the Rainger Air Traffic Controller

Fuzzmonger mk 1 has a switchable envelope.

I remember watching demo videos and thinking that the Seppuku Junktone and MASF Biloma reminded be of the Noisebox

I actually like the Air Space Invader better than the Air Traffic Controller, I also have the Orbit.
If you'd like I can send you both together with the Velcrobot I need to return to you so you can have a go with them.

Done!
I really like being able to use the attack to control the craziness - I think this sort of pedal in general is more useful than you'd first think.
Thanks for the suggestions dude!
Langtronic bone collector?

Yeah, I've been wanting one for the longest time.

I've got a Langtronics Bone Collector and although it does do the envelope following plus heavy gated fuzz destruction thing rather well it suffers from being a total one trick pony with just one sound. I was really hoping to get more sounds out of it, but you can duplicate it very closely if you split your guitar signal in two with a digitech bass synth wah on one part of the signal and a gated noisy fuzz of your choice on the other half and then blend both of those together again to create the Bone Collector sound. The bone collector has problems triggering the envelope synth sound on the high E string on my guitar, and its not very strong on the three highest strings, then the synth suddenly becomes very overpowering on the lower three strings. If it had more than one knob (which is just volume) to control sensitivity of the envelope and a bias over how much synth to fuzz to blend together I would be very happy with it, but in the present form it is quite limited (unless you want that one sound it does and nothing else).
It did occur to me that I might be able to mod the pedal to get the control I wanted, but the inside is gooped and the perfboard (it's handmade, no pcb) is welded to the metal case with hot plastic glue so it's impossible to take apart or work out what the components are... which is rather depressing because there aren't many components and they make a furious noise! Can't blame him for wanting to protect his circuit, and he is really good for buying components from - I usually buy potentiometers and audio sockets from him because he sells them at half the price I can find them elsewhere in the UK and he delivers them really quickly and has never screwed up any of my orders... I just wish more could be done with his pedal to make it achieve a wider range of sounds.

Good to know about the Bone Collector, moid, thanks. Too bad, the clips I've heard sound wicked.

This.
I can't abide by goop, I think it's bullshit. Circuits can't be patented, and most if not all boutiquers got their start making modded muffs, tubescreamers, fuzz faces etc. Why should Mike Matthews work be public property but not yours? All goop does is stop the owner from fully utilising a product they've paid good money for - eg repairing or modifying, both of which you have the legal right to do as the owner, and both of which you should be able to do as the owner.

Agree about the goop.
Back to the subject at hand (or under foot in this case)?
Don't know what this guy's deal is, but I've been enjoying his noise filled videos lately:
