...a tap tempo pedal that sends out a constant tap pulse by initially setting the initial tempo by tapping on a footswitch? i.e. a tap tempo pedal that you don't have to constantly keeping tapping

Most of the time you only tap 2 or 4 times and it remembers the tempo.

I only tap my Gravitas twice. Only tap tempo pedal I've owned though. Thought it was how all tap tempo pedals worked.

That is. If you have to keep tapping, it mean's you're either bad at tapping or your rhythm is inconsistent.

Some will take a CV source like Copilot broadcast if you want it constant and able to change on the fly.

I have a pedal that allows for bank change with a tap tempo. I want to change banks rhythmically without constantly having to tap.

I will check that out with my gigadelay, but no reason the method I used with the DD-5 wouldn't work.
That was the whole reason I got the gigadelay...
Actually, let me go test it really quick...I've got a minute (no video proof now though...sorry, later if you want it)

Yes Copilot Broadcast controls tap tempo continuously straight into the gigadelay's ctrl pedal input...works great, didn't check the bank function because I really have no idea how to use the gigadelay yet.
It also makes the time continuously fluctuate if you want.
Broadcast is a totally underrated little, versitile pedal.
EHX 8-Step didn't work straight out (quickly tried it...). But didn't really try very hard, just switched to the broadcast.
