The pedge thread.

Inspired by the need to make life somewhat easier for stalking santas, I've decided to put my pedal buying on hold. Which in turn means that I now have to focus my powers of gear acquisition on stuff that I've been putting off buying for ages because fuzz is more fun, but that I really need.
So. Here is a list of stuff that I'm pedging hard for.
If this list still exists, and I try and buy stuff from you in the BST, please slap me in the dinoface and tell me to pedge harder. Unless I'm buying for my victim santee. But a simple background check as to the purpose of the proposed transaction will sort that out.
If anyone else feels the need to utilise public shame for the purposes of directing their spending, feel free to post here!
Here's shit that I henceforth need to buy before getting more fuzz.
1. Mono case for the guitar. God damn I hate buying cases.
2. Dual Lock for the pedal board. Need to increase TGP credibility. or something.
3. Heisenberg overdrive. Gotta get on that Dr Sci science.
4. Another EP-3 expression pedal.

Good thread is good!
Only pedals I'd buy before SS is over with are Seppukus. So here we go:
1. Big power supply. I need to power 14 pedals, but my 4x4 only powers eight of them, so I'm one-spotting and daisy-chaining and it's a fucking hassle.
2. Recording software. I have plenty of ideas in my head but I never seem to sit down and work on them. I need something totally stripped down. Most music software overwhelm me.
3. Guitar straps. I have one that's uncomfortable and one that feels great (Couch). I'd like to have only great ones.
4. A small pedalboard to keep at waist height for easier mangling of drones/synth/drum machines.
Youp...

This actually came at the perfect time. I'm saving for a trip to Japan next year anyway, so I'll finally be able to put money aside.
The only thing I'm going to actually buy probably is the MWFX Glitch when it comes out because I won't be able to help myself. Sorry person stalking me, but I gotta have it.

Gor, you're right. Buying the basics/necessities sucks.
But sometimes, you gotta get utilitarian for your functinality bonus. Otherwise you lose action points to accessing your inventory.
1. Cabinets and speakers. 15s and 12s.
If only cheap Sunn cabs were an option down here.

I'm thinking about going DIY.
Which means my priority is actually:
1: Tools.

Oh shit. I might just +1 this. I've been waiting for too long for this to slip through my fingers.

The only thing on my list of 'necessities' is a pair of pickups and a set of tuners and some misc hardware for this last guitar build that I am putting together.
I literally need nothing else. And if I say that I need something, I'm lying.

I don't really need anything, but I currently could use a reverb though I'm getting by since I'm mostly in recording mode and am just using software verb.

Tracktion 4 is free (and has almost no features stripped out of it versus 5/6). Reaper never expires (eternal nagware).
Try both, don't spend a dime.

Sweet! I will check both of those. Thanks!

Also I have fallen for Reaper its full featured but totally easy to learn. Also free / cheap.

Savage.
I think the only thing I might break pedge/flip things for during the SS period is the Erika Synths AcidBox, since it's basically been an impossibility of the universe for it to be in stock and me to have the money for one at the same time (back in stock "end of september".... maybe my Landlord will take noise walls for rent?) Polivoks is love, Polivoks is life.

This is a good thread,
I don't need pedals
Need a few longer pancake cables
Need a case for my Dot - If I keep it - Leaning that way
Need to finish paying off my nelson - He gave me plenty of time but I want to just pay it off
Want to mount in and outs on my pedalboard so I don't have to unplug to put the cover on
also: Would like a 2x12 at some point, but won't buy one till I ditch a bunch of gear

Fuck I completely forgot about this thing. I've been looking at the individual modules they make based off the Polivoks as well. Might have to break for this too.

I basically said it in the wishlist thread: my SS best gets me something utilitarian. I never buy the utilities, only the fun shit.
That said I will probably get something that goes swoosh for my birthday and pedge for a new board that has enough space for me to put everything I want on the board actually on the board.
