- Das Höpping Mad by KaosCill8r
KaosCill8r built it for me
It's a wild beast even without the oscillations engaged & definitely loves both standard & baritone tuning,
haven't gotten around to trying it on bass yet, it's just so much fun with the bari
also I try to do the evil/low endy stuff only when my housemate is not home...
so I haven't had enough practice with those oscillations either,
still some ways away from making it chirp like Eivind
But housemate is gone over the weekend, so I'll see what my kids think of this oscillating kangaroo
Thanks again Brendan

I really like the phrase "oscillating kangaroo". Great band name.

Sounds better than it looks.

Shameless self promotion

But seriously it does.

TRUTH BOTH!
Even now that we found some left over knobs and after much discussion how many knobs to exchange and
what color goes where, this is the end result of my kids making the Höpping look better still:

- MOAR RAINBOWZ
yes, it's a fine looking pedal with it's distinct style & aesthetic
but DAMN it sounds so much better than that.
Which actually makes it harder for me to explore, because I mostly grab the baritone and start where I left the Höpping,
usually one of the loud/low endy fuzzes
(the switch gives three options, number three is less low end

, less volume, but moar crackle in the decay

),
Flaum maxxxed, Ström starved around halfway to completely and.......
half an hour later I'm drenched in sweat, my underpants are sticky and the villagers are approaching my house with pitchforks and torches
I mean I've tried to sit down and be cool & technical about it, but that always goes
"OK, where was I with those settings? *strums* oh.

oh yeah.

OH YEAH

"

Holy shit that sounds rad!
Those knobs in bright primary colours totally take it up a notch visually.
Take note Kaos! All future builds should be like this!

Hell yeah Carsten your young cherubs did an awesome job with their stylistic choices, it does look much more rad. I'm glad you're having fun and enjoying the fuzzy oscillations

There are some great sounds to be discovered in that beast.

Don't worry goroth, I have been taking note. I've been researching online about electro etching and plating. It seems a lot more safer than chemical etching. Also I have recently purchased a breadboard and some other helpful electronic tools, so I can hopefully design my own original fuzz circuits.
