Has anyone heard of this? Couldn't find any clips on YouTube. It's a fuzz rack unit that splits your signal four ways and fuzzes them all differently. Saw it on this Facebook group for gear trading

So going back to the original post, there aren't any YouTube or sound clips of an original PAiA Quadrafuzz? (read: not a clone, remake, chinese knock off, or digital plugin...the rack mount one from 1985) I think that's what the person was hoping to get a link for. It would be nice to hear what it actually sounds like, not hear somebody's modern interpretation of it.

:idk: IIRC the Quadrafuzz was originally a DIY thing. One of Anderton's projects. You could probably say that the PAiA kit isn't even the original, but itself a clone. I guess that's a matter of interpretation though.

I've heard an old one from the 1980s, I recall it sounding like shit. The problem is that when you have stuff being built by people who have just learned which side of the iron is hot your quality control is all over the place. I'm sure the unit I heard was probably broken or poorly assembled, that said, due to the nature of the beast it'll be a challenge to quantify any of them as the definitive sound.

It is a cool idea.

Craig Anderton's old band. There's a short interview at the end, but he doesn't talk about the QUADRAFUZZ:
