Voltage conversion gear question - Australian to USA

I have an Australian organ which is 240v as is my understanding what the mains electricity requirements in Australia is, and trying to use it in the USA with a step up/down converter shown below which is rated as the below:
Step Up: 110/117/120V AC to 220/230/240V AC
Step down from: 220/230/240V AC to 110/117/120V AC
http://www.amazon.com/Goldsource%C2%AE- ... B0022QOSDK
When I plug it in and have the fuse set to 240V, I get no power. However, when I move the fuse to 110V, I get power but no sound. I am pretty certain it should be running at 240V, not 110V because that is how I run an English made delay pedal I run which works fine. Am I correct that this is the way I should be running it? And if so, why wouldn't I get any power that way, but I do running it at 110V?
Thanks
