Bigsby-loaded Teles!

I stumbled upon a beefy ash tele body with no string holes drilled I forgot about. Perfect excuse to build a crazy bigsby-equipped tele-esque guitar, right? There is lots of conflicting information about this out there. Mustang bridge? notched vintage ashtray? To vibramate or not to vibramate? Let's hear your experiences!

I use a cutdown ashtray on my bigsby'd tele. Works well for my needs, though I did put some magical anti rattle goo between the saddles because I was getting a bit of unwanted noise. No tuning issues or string breakage issues and it maintains most of the tele snap to my ears. However, my tele is a mahogany thinline with a p90 in the bridge and a firebird mini humbucker in the neck, so it isn't exactly standard. I tried a bunch of different bridges (Jazzmaster style, tuneomatic, bigsby bow tie bridge, wooden bridges with various saddles, etc) and always end up coming back to the three saddle ashtray.

I would love to try one of the Mastery tele bridges, though.
