Raster vs Backtalk vs GB24/CT5

And don't you dare tell me Boss. Or Digitech.

Particle is nice but I assume without looking it up that the raster is better. If the raster is better at reverse than the particle it'll be rad as fucking hell.

Red Panda is pretty cool but in this case the Boss DD-5 has got it beat in my opinion.
Otherwise I'd say the GB24 or CT5.

Particle allows you to control the probability of whether it'll play in forward or reverse, and it adds a freeze function. Makes cool random sounds.

The SMMH has a setting where you can play a riff and when you hold the switch it'll play back in reverse. That can be fun.

But I like my m9's reverse, because it seems to sound better. Probably because the quality's worse and it's more lo-fi haha.

Also, with the m9 you can record a loop, reverse it, and trigger it on the fly. That's good if you want the reverse to come in at specific point instead of playing a beat/measure before.

what's wrong with digitech? :(

the reverse on the particle is rad, as well as the DD series (IMO). delaylab takes the fucking cake when it comes to reverse, tho

yem, EHX SMMH is king. Especially because the reverse can be tweaked into a massive, cloudy ambient reverb as well :)

but it's awesome even as standard reverse

enjoyed CT5 very much too, but it's very different. Especially with lowest repeat amount not being one

The Hazarai is the best I've played. And I used to own a Backtalk. AB-ed them. Sold the Backtalk. It's a good pedal and does a good reverse, but I don't understand the hype around them.

SMMH is fucking awesome, but I couldn't get passed the volume drop when using it solo. (honestly not sure if the volume actually drops or if it has to do with the tone knob being slightly off). some of my favorite acts use them with no problems, so maybe I'm just being a bitch.

if your blend volume isn't set just right on the smmh there will be a bit of signal loss. just shy of 11 o clock gets you a good 50/50 without a noticeable drop. the reverse on the smmh is a lot of fun.

If you're broke; NUX Time Core.

No shit, that reverse delay sounds great. Also; small! And; stereo!

Yeah i hate volune drop of the hazarai. I've had one like three times. The mix never seemed to have the balls even at mostly dry. Why haven't they made it better yet? On the fly looping of any delay? Come on, that is fucking brilliant.

I'm gonna get crucified for saying this, but of all the pedals I've had that are capable, the TimeLine has the only reverse I can actually use. DL4s reverse might be the only delay setting it has that I actually like, but it's way harder wrangle in than the TL. That's why I like the TimeLine I guess. It's REALLY easy to make it do what I want.
