This happens all the time. All the time. I go to itunes and they have an orchid album that ive never heard about. So i think to myself "Did they get back together??? I thought he was in violent bullshit now????" But no. Its the stupid bullshit doom band. I know ive brought this up before but this really has to stop.

I was thinking of getting a grassroots movement thing started. Like for kony or whatever. Make a video about the dangers of accidentally listening to a shitty band because they have the same name as a good band. It would be like if brand new had just said fuck it and named themselves mudhoney or something. Can you imagine???

Like all the time I think of good band names and if I see that there's some two-bit shitfest on Bandcamp that hasn't been active since 2008, with the same name, I go back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I google the shit out of band names before putting them in print. That said, my band ALSO has the word orchid in it.

I think it depends on when both bands start/stop.

The onther one is GISM and that rapper G-Ism. There was this band I see at festivals all the time called Zoé and I would get all excited that it was a Japanese crust band playing at Coachella or something...but it was a Mexican rock band...

or dropping the "the" like Pillows… Pillows suck and for a long time they were all The Pillow like things you could search on itunes
