So I went a little batshit in the last month.

Every year around my birthday I set aside a slush fund for new toys. Still playing and loving the Kaoss-Pad equipped Ibanez (and ironically, I *really* like the onboard distortion for a metal hammer), and got a BYOC Ampeg Scrambler clone from B/S/T and a relatively authentic Bee Baa clone from a dude in Canada.

Not a bad trifecta for an old dude on disability who just bought (and is still paying for) a Gibson a couple months back. :)

Now I can wait for the eventual Bee Baa clone with a blend somewhere, somehow - but until then, my itch for more faux Roland in my life is sated.

It even has the stupid shrill treble boost right, which is why I did *not* get a Wee Baa or one of the modern clones who seem to think that ear-piercing hell is a bad thing.

Ah, the things you can acquire when you don't have a cell phone!

Are you saying that if I get rid of my cellphone, all those things could be mine too?

I hear that you can make your cell phone into a guitar effect now. Maybe you should keep it.

I have an iPhone 5 and went to inquire about upgrading.

iRig Pro and some apps... I showed Ham how to do it last weekend and he liked it... You can even place it between pedals...

I have run Dr Om on both my iPad and iPhone into pedals and an amp. Each time people were pumped and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That being said, I regularly try to switch from a smart phone to a dumb phone. Only way I can figure is pay as you go an I can't deal with that.

If I wanted to get stuck in the 'upgrade constantly' ecosystem for gear, yea, I'd have a phone on my board.

But it's the same reason I don't go VST crazy on the pc.
