How do you set your Tremolo Depth?

So I've had this Fender Excelsior for a bit, and although it is probably on it's way of my possession due to size/weight concerns, it is fun to play. Even though it isn't foot switchable, the tremolo is fun. It has no depth control, which is actually fine with me, but it did make me sort of wonder... Does anyone ever set their depth relative to the speed? I.E. at faster tremolo speeds you set the depth deeper, but at slower speeds set it to shallower depth. Or do you just set it to a depth that you feel is appropriate for the sound/mix you want?

Yes, that's exactly what I do.
Fast = deep
Slow = not-so-deep

And I do this cheesy thing in a couple of songs where I go from slow to fast with an expression pedal and vice versa.

Other thing is waveforms. If I'm playing like "rhythmic" tremolo with chords I use square or triangle, if I'm only playing single notes where I don't care about the rate speed too much then I use sine.

I set it to the mix that I want because I'm obviously doing it wrong.

Yup. Also, slow rates with high depth is pretty fun, like the into to "Dandelion Seeds" by July.

Smack in the middle.

I want one at the end of my chain but I think it would sound better pre delay. But post reverb. But I want my delay pre reverb.

:(

Mmmm...Post Reverb. I am especially fond of Post Honey Bunches of Reverb.

Depth is not a set and forget for me, it varies on what I'm playing... The Tremulust sounds dope either way...

I love doing weirdo things with plenty of pedals, but I have to say that I tend to be a total simpleton when it comes to trem. Firmly planted in MOR Creedenceville, haha...

After dirt but before gated fuzz such as my unpleasant surprise.
