Payed dearly for it considering what they cost a couple years ago when the stores were clearing em out a couple years ago. Still though, I haven't been so pyshced for a peddle in a long while

One thing I noticed right away: It looks remarkable compact and board friendly for a unit with that much modes and tricks. I'm gonna keep my analog delay on my board, so I doubt the limited amount of user presets will be a huge issue for me. It's not like I have a set of 25 songs that all need their own particular delay settings or anything

Yea, and it's quick to tweak time settings etc if you need to (plus tap tempo and other stuff)

This pedal can do way too much. I can have so much fun playing the Envelope setting for hours, especially since the repeats knob will change the sound of the delay entirely.

Something I have long wondered...does the timebender give you anything that having a timefactor and pitchfactor would not - as I have the latter two?

The pitchfactor does a lot more, the TB is set (many) intervals, only harmonizes the delay. Timefactor I don't know what the routing options are and the one thing I keep coming back to on the TB past anything else is "tap tempo head selection" - it's not just tap in an overall time, but you can set intervals for up to six heads with your foot.

I've considered getting a PF, and may still at some point (or just a H9), but the big thing on the Timebender is it offers a LOT of options with zero menu-diving and on-the fly tweakage.

I am in no way afraid of menudiving but it's simple and elegant and stupidly powerful, plus sounds good. It has the feel of the older tape delays that's relatively close (i.e. it's not broken wow+flutter that so many pedals think is "Tape"), and I can get 90% of the way there to any delay sound I need in the box. Bonus points for taking line level without choking.

TL;DR is that I can just spin the dials of fun, play, and roll with it, which for a box of this depth very rarely happens.

Nice! I've got one on the way as well (snatched it off Ebay for a great price). From what I understand, the things to be trying out are the envelope mode and the harmonizing. Any other neat tricks in this guy?

I had a Time Bender. It's a cool pedal for sure. I got rid of it because it had *too many* options and I felt intimidated by the choices. And frankly, I never used the vast majority of the tricks it could do. I just never found myself needing a suspended 4th harmonized echo. That and the modulation, surprisingly, had very little control options. Although I'll admit that it's entirely possible there were controls for modulation beyond the single knob that is obvious, and maybe I was too dumb to find them.

Nah, the modulation isn't really that deep. The only mode I think it makes a difference for the is the Time Warp mode, otherwise you can forget the knob is there because it isn't making a noticeable difference.

Yea, it's a light modulation and used for other things in a couple modes.

It's not intended to be much past a CE-2's low settings honestly.

The other neat trick is hold down the left FS (except reverse) to hold/loop the current buffer. It'll include whatever harmonizer if any was on (so you can take the time while it spits back for eternity to switch it off or to something else), etc.
