Pulled the trigger on a demo model from Sweetwater.
I certainly don't need it (this brings me up to twelve guitars/basses) but....it just seems so damn stupid how can I not?
(Not my demo, it won't be here for a few days)

Sort of forgot about this, but I had immediately thought of ILF when I first saw this, and intended to start a thread for it. Is there a way to jump to different settings on the Kaos Pad?

I enjoy the Anderton's demos, they just did the RGKP6:

Looks fun to play with, probably more so if you have cool stuff to control with it!

Woah woah woah, it's not like he raped your mother, he just started an innocent thread. No need to be nasty about it.

Agreed. Not sure I'd love the guitar, but could be a very cool controller. I like where they've built it in in terms of easy access....

Yea, to be honest I'm not buying this for the guitar's guitar features.
it's a Kaos-pad controller that happens to have strings instead of keys.

Hey Korg! Build a new version of the Kaossilator where the guitar can trigger synth waveforms that can be manipulated on screen--instant SY300 killer! Not really, but it would be a killer app. I like dreamin'....

So it arrived a couple hours ago, I love Friday Fedex here - always shows at 8 am or earlier, I kid you not.
Guitar is surprisingly good for the $$ on its own merits - fretwork is solid, the pickup doesn't sound like total ass, tuners are serviceable.
It does exactly as advertised, and the built-in distortion is some Ibanez ugly metal thing (but can be switched off). It works as a "now I want more gain" item well enough.
Will do photos and report further when I've got more of a hang of it.
But for now bee bloop boop is coming out of it.

Yank out the Ibanez Disto, put in a Test Pattern--moar switches.

Oh maaaaaan so awesome. Stupid, but awesome. Very tempted to get one, the price isn't bad at all considering the base price of the kaoss pad.
