Kinda really into this new version of the '67. Might get. Although maybe I shal just chase after a vintage Silvertone 1451 instead. Still:

Still hot. Such sexy guitars. I'm still on that refusing to buy them new because of the whole Prop 8 thing, but I'm also typing on my iPhone so...who cares.

More importantly. Great seeing you.

I've been thinking a lot about Dan'os, lately. I'm really digging the sparkly '63s. But, I'm also wondering if the NOS pickups on the DC are up to anything.

hey guys, I have a Dano baritone. Quite frankly I don't like it. It is by far the worst guitar in my collection and it only remains because the looks are cool when it is hanging on the wall. The body wood is EXTREMELY soft and my tail-piece eventually started to move. The pickups are crap. I bought mine in I think 2012 or 2013, but I don't know that their pickups or wood selection has changed...

I don't think it ever has change. Pickups were probably quality at some point. I'd have to get some aftermarkets.

I keep thinking about getting the 12 string and taking off the second EAD, but haven't been actively looking.

What was wrong with the pickups?

All the Danos I've played have felt really cheap and not sturdy, but oddly enough I think they are fun to play and don't sound bad.
That new body shape is cool, I hope they make a bari out of it.

Also why do they always use lipstick pickups?

I believe that's what they brought to the table originally, so why stop?

I just bought a green 63 reissue for my daughter today (she's only 4 so it's more or less for me for a couple years). I got it off a girl I work with for $120. Yeah, they're kinda junky, but they sound trashy in a good way. Running it through fuzz, verb, and trem and it's super fun to play. Wouldn't want it as a main guitar though.

I've had multiple danelectros over the years (dc bass, three u1's, and a hornet) and they have such a cool sound. Poppy and jangly. I think this new 67 looks super fun. But let's be real, I only need one guitar and my squier vm jag really gets there for me

I think the dead on 67s look ALMOST as horrible as non-reverse Firebirds.

but I played a bari Dead On 67 and it was pretty fun. I'd take the singlecut bari over it any day though
