No doubt - this looks pretty sweet. I love that the new EHX stuff is all daisy-chainable, too...

Cool, is this one going to more or less expensive?

I believe that it's going to be roughly the same as the deluxe POG, so in the $325 range... I could be wrong, but this was based on a quick chat with my local EHX dealer...

Ideally it should cost less since even if it adds featues processing power is a lot cheaper than it was in 2005. But guitar equipment rarely follows this logic and a lot of people who bought the POG1 will feel bummed.

True 'nuff. Not only would POG1 owners feel bummed, so would the marketers at EHX.

Au contraire. There is in fact a detune slider. The difference with this one is that it affects the detuning on all octaves together

what I like about this is that it looks smaller and more compact than the original, though not as nice aesthetically.

Agreed - I'm not sure how much I'll use the presets, either, but this has a couple of features that I'm really excited about: the smaller form factor, the attack & Q functions, and the (supposedly) even better sound.
Honestly, I would have opted for size convenience and gone with a micro POG a long time ago if they'd had a tone control (the LP filter does that on the big 'uns). But with the attack & Q make it a whole new ball game for this unit for me.

I liked how on the other one you could have two of the octaves detuned, so one is detuned and the other isn't at the same time tho...
I don't really like the XO housing either...
Though presets and -2 octaves are

so I must get one

The lack of detune killed the Micropog for me.
