Bass players what would be your one go to effect?

Currently I'm running a frazz into a rusty box and I'm thinking about switching things up a bit. I like to keep things simple in my band setup. My questions to you guys is what would be your one go to effect pedal on bass? Is it a TAFM? Something by darkglass? I play in a metal band and like to sound heavy as shit.

Only one? And also, will you be keeping the Rusty Box at the end of the chain?

Yes only one maybe two at most. The rusty is my preamp which feeds into my poweramp so yes its stays always on as well. At two I already have more pedals than my other band members.

I haven't tried it, but the Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder seems to do a lot for da bass.

If I was playing metal and it was one pedal, Darkglass B7K. Something about the klangy high-mids cut through a thick mix. It isn't a sound that is totally awesome by itself but it does sound great in a band situation.

I was thinking about this...could maybe even replace the rusty box and make room for one more pedals.

This seems like a obvious answer to try though I've never super bonded with them in the past but that was during my mainly guitar phase.

Supercollider if you want a Muff circuit.
Blower Box if you want a rat circuit.
Ritual if you want a Fuzzface/Meathead circuit

Lastgasp 46 or some kind of auto wah. Probably just the lastgasp 46 though.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Being able to have a ton of fuzz under my clean signal is basically everything I've ever wanted and the TAFM does it perfectly.

Also I think describing what kind of metal would help.
