My buddy is looking to build up a bass rig on a budget. He has a 4x12 thats rated 480w, he may get another cab to use with it. We play in Drop A.
GK, Ampeg, what else?

Hartke ha5500
I had the lower watt version of this that I played through 4 10s and it sounded pretty great with most pedals, and clean. Awesome EQ/tone sculpting. SS. Reliable. And that one is cheap. Not mine, it just popped up when I googled it.

Yeah, that looks good, and a deal if one can get one at that price. Thanks.

Consider a PA head and a preamp if you want power. You could probably feed that thing 600w. They will take pedals well, I promise.
