I had a crazy idea to run my bass into my normal bass rig, and add my guitar rig into the mix.
Put an EQ in front of the guitar head and take out all the lower freqs.
Kinda mix a clean bass signal and a higher frequency distorted signal.
The speakers in question are eminence Govs and Swamp Thangs.
Whats the word turds?

Yurp. Then you can have two distortion sounds or clean punchy low bass, and distorted (or slap-funkity bright I guess) high end bass.

I like my Gov-loaded 1x12 for bass. That and a 50 watt tube amp. I use a Traynor Bassmaster for clean or overdriven sound, and a Laney for that and high-gain / metal distortion bass. I don't attenuate any low end and haven't blown it yet, had that cab for 4 or 5 years now.

Use a crossover and route the lows to the bass amp, and just the mids and highs through the guitar amp.

Crossover? Still worried about blowing the speakers, even though I'm only putting 100 watts through it

Cossovers split up the bass and treble portions of the signal. That way it can be routed to subs and mains/tweeters.

The big thing with bass through a "guitar" speaker is power handling and "is it closed back cabinet?"

The latter being a HUGE deal. And don't push the things for long, extended periods of time at volume.

If you like the sound, it's the risk you run.

Power handling is 250 watts, so it shouldn't be a problem. Also thw cab is not ported or open at all
