"Always-on"

Some months back, I began using a
Frostwave Resonator to tame low end and attenuate full-throttle fuzzes...everything now being fed into the
'82 PolyFlange for constant sway with a slow/shallow/medium feedback flange...which more-or-less hasn't been bypassed since its addition last month.
'78 DMM is
almost always-on, immediately in front of the flanger and following the Resonator.
Seems those old EHX pedals quickly get overwhelmed+clock noisy with bottom end, and it's remarkable how much harder you can drive them by taming [it]. Now they're cornerstones in a rig that has otherwise seen minimal change for several months.
(Fuzzrite > Harmonic Percolator > phase-O-matic deluxe > Deja Vibe > Resonator > Misty Cave > DMM > PolyFlange > Lofi Loop Junky)
So 2 (mostly 3) effects have become fundamental to what I've been playing (which has been riff-heavy). They're crucial, not crutches
Which effects are
always-on in your rig?

In the latest project, EHXHDDMM and Menatone Red Snapper -- always on. Also, foot almost always rocking back and forth on a Dunlop volume pedal.

at least I learned from it. I've talked a couple people out of leaving their always-on boost on always.
sometimes pedals isn't the solution and some folk need a gentle reminder of that

Always on in different setups would be the Mini, Algal, RRR, Ele, Suneater, El Cap, and sometimes Old Black and a Pharaoh.. I like using the guitar vol and all these respond well...

Always have my EHX Holy Grail on, and I always have my Klone boosting my amp. The Moog delay is on 99% of the time

Oh yeah, when it's on the board the Minifooger Delay is always on... I use my guitar vol a lot so it works better with some of the always ons...

I have an Arc Effects Klone always on, so that I can shut my eyes and pretend I'm Budget Lee Ranaldo.

Sometimes pedals are the solution, they're just other/different pedals or maybe just less of 'em.
