so as many of you know I'm recording an EP right now
music ranges from the downright pretty, asian inspired stuff to the ferocious...jazz
while recording some epic breakbeat/blastbeat hybrid break down i broke my freakin hi-hat stand
so now i have a fully mic'd kit, mic'd and EQ'd for metal....and no hi hat stand
this is so not HxC/Metal/Indie/Punk :(

any reccomindations, looks like the pedals i was gonna buy from cliff and NW aint gonna get bought, as i really actually need a damn stand --'

I *LOVE* my DW 5500L hi-hat stand. A bit expensive but totally worth it for the control it has to offer.

I've also had good experiences with Yamaha and Gibraltar's stuff aswell. Can't remember model #s though...
:idk:

DW is awesome, but expensive if you're just a part time drummer.

Gibraltar is nice price, but the parts strip easily! Believe me on this.

I'd recommend Yamaha. They have nice feeling action, and the models that aren't mega beefy are reasonably priced. That's what I've been using for a minute now....I gig quite a bit and haven't had a problem.

dropped by GC today, gonna drop by a dedicated drum shop tomorrow as well
so far im leaning towards yamaha, $150 w/ taxes and 3 year insurance
definitely better than the crappy pulse one i was using

i had to return my DW 7k pedal as well, that hurt real good im using a crappy pearl one right now that doesnt really work right....
