Tube amp gurus, lend me your wisdom!

So has anyone around here serviced a tube amp before? I'm getting ready to do my 1979 Vibrolux Reverb and wanted some opinions.
Before it comes up, yes, I'm fully aware of the lethal voltages inside, and know how to bleed them off safely. I've been researching this for the better part of a year. I've got schematics and layouts..just gotta get parts.
My main question is: what brand of capacitors do you prefer and why? And also, would you go the "Recap kit" route, or source them indepanantly? I've seen them anywhere from $50-120 for preassembled cap packages.
Sprague seem to be the go to, F+T seem highly reguarded, and orange drops are either loved or hated, mostly the later by aficionados. What's in your amp? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
