Big Muff into a Rat

Seeing as these two pedals have legendary statuses on their own, I don't think I've ever seen a stacked version anywhere, do they sound good together?

Literally posted today in the pedalboard thread

I'm all about Rat>Big Muff. I never had good results the other way around. For some reason I can never get a higher gain pedal to sound good running into something with lower gain. Even my Klone. Other people do it with great results, but not me.
Anyway it sounds fucking awesome. It's my Thurston Moore pedal. Or my shoegaze machine. I can't recommend the Rat>Muff combo enough.

yeah I was gonna say, flip that order. Rat boosting big muff is mental.

I will say: that pedal was a one-off. If I decided to try and take my pedal game seriously, that would be my signature fuzz. I always wanted to make a Rat and black Russian Muff in parallel too. I think that would be hella.

There's not enough parallel dirt in this world.
Nowhere close.

Agreed. I would want to set it up so if you turn the volume all the way down on say, the Rat side, it would be all Muff. I have no idea how to do this though, and I assume there are some phase issues.

And not just the rat... (Almost) any high gain dirt slamming into a big muff REALLY gives an extra edge to the muff...

I mean if you really want the gnarliest tone, big muff into the Elements with cranked mids is where its at.

T-Rex Mudhoney 2 (2 turbo rat-ish in one pedal) into opamp Big Muff. This sounds really awesome.

The whole reason I asked was because my old '70s ehx bmp never sounded better than when it was pushed by a Rat. LM308 version, though that doesn't make much difference imo, if any at all. Ruetz'd it btw, which gives back a little bit of much needed low end, at the expense of about half the grit/gain, which you won't at all miss when you've got a muff after or in front of it.
There's probably quite a few two-in-one pedals out there that do this, though as far as I know of there's no real builder (opposed to a custom job from a small time diy'er) offering anything like that in a small-ish enclosure.
Also, @ verveman: DAMN nice dirt selection. I kinda fell out of love with stock muffs, but I've been dying to finally try an opamp muff of some sort. I'm not too familiar with the T-Rex Mudhoney, but the FZ-2 has been my go-to apocalyptic hot rodded superfuzz since I first started playing guitar. And I also have a Hotcake on my board for all kinds of more conservative boosting and low/mid gain stuff, and it stacks great with fuzz, as I'm sure you know

I saw Dead Meadow a couple of time. Their guitarist uses an NYC Big Muff into a Rat II in order to achieve the sound of Sleepy Silver Door:

But I still prefer using muff OR rat for an high gain dirt after a different overdrive.

I've never played neither a big muff nor a rat, so I might tap the shoulder of one of our talented builders to make me a two in one/parallel one.

You should try opamp muff. It's my personal favorite, equally as triangle muff. Crowther Hotcake is best overdrive pedal in the world! nah just my favorite :P

Not that it's an option right now, cause I have a Musket incoming to cover my muff needs...
But I looked around before, and I couldn't find a whole lot of newer opamp muff clones that weren't from dsmall time diy'ers. Nothing wrong with small time diy'ers, don't get me wrong...But the resale value of 'john doe' effects isn't quite like that of brands like eqd, fairfield, blackout effectors, BAT, etc etc...
