So my band airports is working on booking a tour, and to be honest it's very disenchanting. Everyone is super-duper unresponsive like, everywhere! *sigh*
So than this happened
And so i was wondering if anybody around this lovely board from any of these cities would know anything about who we should go to.. or would wanna play a gig with us, and obviously we'd be more than happy to trade shows, by setting one up for you in philadelphia.
We're lookin at this sorta schedule:
July 22 - Lancaster, PA
July 23 - Washington, DC
July 24 - Richmond, VA
July 25 - Baltimore, MD
July 26 - Wilmington, DE
July 27 - Philadelphia, PA - is booked
July 28 - New Brunswick, NJ
July 29 - NYC, NY
July 30 - Providence, RI
July 31 - Boston, MA - is booked
Aug 1 - Hartford, CT
Aug 2 - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Allentown, PA
we sound like this
http://www.myspace.com/musicforairportsmusic and we don't bite, honest.
but seriously also, if you ever are looking to play in philly, don't hesitate to send me a PM!

Clay (the bass player) also does a sideproject with Johnny Raab, really sick live D&B

Let me know when/where you're playing in New Brunswick, NJ. I live about thirty-seven seconds away and I would love to attend and check out your gear.
And I'll give you a popsicle.
P.S. Are you familiar with The Wayfarers, or Tongue Sculptors? I'm good friends with both of those bands.

And they're from my hometown, so we have hishtory. Very down-to-earth people just looking to make some silly music and get melodies stuck in yer head.

contact the 9:30 club.
http://www.930.com/I'll have to get a copy of the local music paper and see if I can find some more venues.
I'll try and post some later today.
And there is at least one Baltamoron here who may know a few places.

In B-more, there's the
8x10 club. I have a friend who gets some gigs there . They have local and small national bands.
Sonar is another place that books touring bands.
I'm not sure what size venues you're looking for. I know some crappy redneck bars. I'm a remote Baltimoron.

I'm not sure how possible it is because my drummer is kind of crazy bipolar identity crisis type-dude, but he's got a house in New Brunswick and I might be able to get you a show in his basement. Unlikely, however. We might even be able to play some songz too, depending when we get our act together..
Then there's always Meat-Town, which is a popular place for indie and gazey shows in the basement of some random-ass house on Hamilton Street. Never been there, but would like to be a frequenter. I've heard really good things about the place, everybody always seems to have fun there. Or be a horrible indie kid who's miserable all the time anyway. Fuck those dudes. And their blazers.
Hope I was of some help.
