i think pedaltronics is the umbrella manufacturing company (bearfoot, frantone, etc) so they offer the mfg and building options for people/brands that dont want to deal with that part of the process and focus on marketing or r&d, and dont have or cant or want to be full timw e.

Wait, so boutique owned by none boutique company?

That's so fucking weird man.

Is that big money trying to steal from the little guy?

Yeah, I think it's basically what Adam said.

Wasn't BearFoot set up to build BJFE pedals domestically?

I don't know the exact nature of their relationship, but it seems they're acting as a contract manufacturer for ProAnalog and Frantone. I know Scotty's had some production/delivery problems and Fran's had some production issues. Donner has his shit together. So, why not? And PedalMorpheus is some kind of collaborative effort to do mods, right? So, they're not really gonna effect the new pedal market. I don't really think this's a huge development, but :idk:

Didn't work out so well for Ooh La La, though they were trying to sell well made E13 pedals for big bucks while Devi sold the same not so well built pedals under the Devi Ever name for cheap.

Hmmmmm....

yes, i think they are offering the option to outsource the production in the usa (instead of asia), i think there is another company offering similar options. The boutique thing is all subjective, for some people is just handmade, for others is serving an small niche, for other is the option to interact with the owner/designer in a casual/friendly way.

My perception is just based on the frantone video, where they show the warehouse and all the stuff, it looks they have the space and want to grow. Similar to what ohlalala did back in the day with e13 and blackbox

the difference with ohlalala, they built the products for x brand, and x brand is responsible to market/sell/customer service. Also since bearfoot has a wide range of dealers they can help with hook up

Yeah, not to mention that ProAnalog and Frantone are well established brands. Both Fran and Scotty have a long history with pedals. They both have great ears and I'd imagine PedalTronics will be building exactly to their specs. Again I don't know the nature of their business relationship, but I'm assuming both Fran and Scotty are going to retain ownership of their respective brands. I don't think there're any shenanigans or anything to be seen here. Appears pretty cut and dried.

I think Bearfoot invented a parent company to add a layer of distinction between the various brands that they will be building moving forward. Pedaltronics is Bearfoot essentially, I think. On some level I think they want consumers to see the brands as distinct from Bearfoot, so they came up with a parent company that doesn't have a history in the business. So it will feel more like a Frantone reboot than Frantone by Bearfoot on the consumer end. Does that make any sense?

Soooooooooooooooooo. Disney doesn't own it?

Damn it. I was hoping to sell out. :(

Ghost builders then? Is that what this is? If I'm to understand? There's a TON of them. Myself included. hahaha. I'm not ashamed. Quality products are quality products.
