Haha :hello:
Mike actually is from PA, and was visiting home when I happened to be on my work route in his part of PA. We'd always talked extensively on Instagram about gear and stuff and when he said he was going to be in the area AND it happened that I would be in the area at the same time, I had to make it happen.
It's funny because the Panera he met me at is right outside one of my stores, so I literally walked across the street after I finished up and we sat down. We immediately started talking like we knew each other for years and after about 15ish minutes he pulled out his phone and asked if he could record the conversation which I agreed to. I love his narrative write ups and I'm kind of glad he wrote it like he did because I rambled on about a ton of useless shit haha
Anyways, yeah, was awesome to meet up with Mike and I told him next time he's in town that we gotta meet up again.

In terms of Dirge I think the interview came at a funny time since I'm still knee deep in life. For those that don't know, my wife, Hunter, and I moved at the end of February, and actually just moved again this past weekend. My wife just accepted a nighttime position at her work, so we are preparing to adapt to that, and I was told by my boss today that I'll be flying out to South Dakota in the middle of July for a week of training.

I had set up a bench when we were at my inlaws over the past 3ish months but I never got to actually sit down at it and work. At the townhouse we just moved into ill be setting shop up in the corner of our kitchen so we can gate it off from Hunter. Just not sure when the next chance I'm going to have to get back at it. Whenever I'm not working I have H and H is at the stage of getting bored easily, so I can't sit him in a room alone while I work. I really do miss building more than I can explain. I've got a few things that have been sitting and traveled with me through these moves, so if I've got something of yours, it's safe. Just fucking bonkers crazy busy.

Awesome, skully, you should have a big built-in customer base by the time you get back to building with all the press you're getting while on hiatus.

Spend as much time with Hunter as you can. He's only gonna be this young once.

SD? You were in MPLS recently. Any chance you'll wind up in the Fargo, ND area any time soon? I'd love to have a beer with ya!

Definitely Chanks, I've been spending every single second at home with him. It's been so awesome to see him grow and learn. I still need to take the extra half hour and drive over to Philly and catch a drink with you.

Thurber- not sure what my schedule is going to be like when I'm out that way. I know they are flying me in, and I'm not sure if they are going to let me rent a car or not since my boss will be with me. If I'm ever headed that way I will definitely hit you up and grab a beer or two!

That's rad. Really pumped for how your family is growing and it's inspiring how you are prioritizing them. I know that sounds obvious but I often struggle with balancing my small (same size as yours) family, friends, and band/friends. Fortunately ILF is really easy to do while the mrs watches friends and the babe sleeps

Thanks dude, means a lot cause I really do miss hanging as much in here as days of yore and building, but watching my son grow and learn has been infinitely rewarding.

He fucking loves death metal, and Earth's more recent albums, and playing with the tuners on my guitars. And my dad bought him the tiniest fucking drum set I've ever seen. Man, it's awesome.

Was just informed today that I'll be spending a week in Las Vegas in March 2016 for a national sales meeting. Never been that far west before!
