I had this decision and ended up going with the Abominable Hail Satan. The sound samples were rad and the paintjob and price were icing on that 666 cake.

Uh, what are you looking for in a muff?
I have the 71 Supercollider. It has a smoother texture, not as crunchy, and blends well with the rest of my band.

What muff type fuzz peds have you tried so far? Cant really help Im afraid, but though I decided a long time ago that muffs dont work for me, Im still curious to hear what muffs others use, and how they manage to cut through a loud messy mix...

Personally, I prefer the Supercollider over the Pharaoh. I think that the Pharaoh and the '71 Supercollider would be pretty similar (but I never tried a '71).
To me the Supercollider has bigger, huevos

After asking the same question, I went with the Super Collider, as it was ballsier and a bit more dynamic. With that said, Abominable Effects rules, and the Hail Satan looks and sounds so gnasty; but I've never tried it.

Turn up, use a muff that has at least flat mid response, and look for a tone that fits the mix rather than swallowing it whole.
And then turn up again.

i've had both, (and a musket for that matter). they both rule. the super collider is a fairly straightforward fire breathing high gain awesome machine. it can be fairly tight and crunchy for a muff. great mid control. probably not the right pedal if you want something for mid or lower gain fuzz sounds. but if you want to peel the paint of the walls, you'll love it.
pharaoh has less gain available, although it was always plenty for me (playing metal), but i would say it has a wider range of useable gain, if that makes sense. as in the lower range of the gain knob provides more usable different sounding gain options. the volume available is absurd. it's very loud and that can be super cool to have at your disposal. the eq on the pharaoh is really powerful and probably the biggest selling point for this pedal. but it must be said that you really need to get to know it and fuck with it a lot in order to unlock it's potential. and you should really be cranking your amp pretty well to get the most out of it. if you're wanting a pedal to stack with other fuzzes, there's no question the pharaoh is the one. that eq just can't be beat and it stacks soooo well. if you're wanting a stand alone pedal that is very amp responsive with a powerful eq, the pharaoh will make you happy. if you don't need to stack dirt and don't want to spend much time tweaking knobs and just want to plug in, step on it and make heads explode, the super collider is probably more up your alley.
for the record, i liked both of them better than my musket, although i've wanted to play a blunderbuss musket and never have.
also, I really recommend taking a look at the EQD hoof if you're thinking about this type of super muff. it's really killer. vicious, crushing gain, tons of volume available, and great mid control. if i remember correctly it's a si/ge hybrid and it has a unique character to it that i really love.

I haven't played an actual Pharaoh. I built one and liked it at certain volume levels but didn't really care for it playing loud - Ampeg v4>4x12. I have a different amp now (Fryette Deliverance 120) and I may give the fuzz another shot - My gripe with many fuzzes has been that I didn't like how they performed at loud volumes.
From what I've read about the super collider, as others have said, it has balls. I don't want anything that adds tons of low end but I also don't want anything that takes away from the low end the amp is putting out without the pedal.
