What to do with this board

Been trying to think of ways to shake up the main board. Would love some opinions on what to swap out, and what to put in its place. Made some recent changes, but still not totally satisfied. What can I say? I'm a sucker for GAS!

What about just changing up the chain?

I'd put the pitchfork in front, then the RRR, then the Strymon, then dirt. And do you use dirty BitQuest? If not: You should use dirty BitQuest. Oh, and boost in front of Fuck, not after. I find that the sweetest textures of that pedal are found when really hitting it hard. I used the db boost on my RRR, but I'm sure a swift clean kick to the balls with the SP will make it sing its gritty and crackled song for those times when you for some reason don't want to have a pre-fuzz verb on.

I think it is great the way it is. Though I would find a way to mount that power supply under the board and squeeze some more fuzz on there. Something really crazy.

What's it feeding? These types of posts nobody can give cogent answers without knowing the bookends of the chain.

Swap out that tuner for a Polytune Mini, for starters.

I would try to mount the power supply on the bottom if that works. I'd add a fuzz of some kind in the open space

1) Remove everything that isn't fuzz/tuner/power supply
2) Replace with fuzz
3) ???
4) Profit

If you're trying to shake things up why not keep it simple and just remove everything? Then you can build it up piece by piece, paying attention to how the relative positions of pedals effect each other.

For a more concrete response, I personally think pitch-shifter>dirt sounds better than dirt>pitch shifter. Have you tried putting your delay or reverb before your dirt? Try making various dirt sammiches with your pedals. It's more fun than you'd initially think.

Other than changing the pedal order, I'm not sure you should do anything. I think the board is fucking amazing as is.

That looks like a cool board for someone that actually knows what they're doing with the guitar!

In terms of order, you might want to put the fuck last, and the RRR up front. Maybe swap the Orbiter and the Black Fountain?
You could also fit another pedal if you mount the PSU under the board. That could be either some sort of vibe (Warped Vinyl? Depths?) or maybe some really fucked up fuzz, check out Eivinds Oscillating Demo Thread for inspiration, maybe.

If it were mine I would probably toss off the Orbiter and add something that makes it sound like I can play better than I actually do, a Count to 5 is always a good recommendation for weird sounds. Have you ever tried an EHX Freeze? Also interesting and very useful. And I have recently fallen in love with Compression again. So I would find a small corner for an Accountant or one of those micro-Malekkos. That would go near the end of the chain but before the delays for me.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I was feeling a little uninspired but you guys gave some great ideas, so I'm gonna tear it all down this weekend and re-build piece by piece. I'll also try some new ordering as well and see how that goes. See if I can squeeze in a fuzz.

I also put in my pre order for a Count to Five. That'll go where the power supply is now, or potentially replace the grand orbiter or pitch fork.

Seems fine the way it is. Aside from experimenting with the order, I like the idea of putting the power supply underneath the board and using the free space for one or two fuzz peds. If you're into phasers, pitch shifters and fancy tape delay emulation, I'm sure you're set...But I personally wouldnt wanna rock a board that big and not have at least three different dirt options :idk:
