John Carpenter-ish tone?

So, I have space left on my board. Can fit up to two side by side 125b pedals with top jacks.

I really liked this little demo clip of Juan through the Warp Vinyl and Descent:

Now, that's too much, and I don't think I'd have a use for the Warp Vinyl by itself, and I read that most people didn't like the Descent with bass.

Anything else that can get me in the ballpark of that John Carpenter-ish sound? (with a bass)

I'm pretty sure there is a setting on the Bitquest that could get you close to that.
If you're looking for a dedicated reverb pedal the IE Nimbus is my favorite for bass.

yeah after some thinking maybe simply a Nimbus or Afterneath after a Subterranea or Frantabit? (I have both on my board already)

TBH It sounds like some medium-fast LFO modulation into a pretty squishy reverb.

please translate lfo modulation into pedal-types or concrete names for me :) - IE Polytope?

Yeah, Polytope and a reverb would get you pretty close. Maybe throw a pitch shifter in there as well. Your SubT or Franta would probably work pretty well.

This thing is like a John Carpenter soundtrack in a box and I know that they test all their pedals Squier Bass IV, anyway.

http://www.oldbloodnoise.com/pedals/procession-reverb

Is similar to the the Bitquest in that it is a multi fx for hipsters

Yeah any kind of detuner/chorus, maybe a flange if you set it a little bit differently than normal (i.e. you get the Flange motion without much of the 'jet' sound).

I hadn't looked much at the procession before just now, but if you look at that you'll see it's almost exactly what I suggested (LFO modulation into a squishy reverb) just in one box.

Dr. Scientist is way cooler than Old Blood though. They don't have to appeal to the hipster through videos to sell their stuff because it is already neat.

No way bro! Their videos are the best gear-related videos on YouTube (Knobs excluded, of course)
