$150 on the used market. Valve Junior, etc. Just need something for bedroom playing. No reverb or channels, effects loop needed.

I remember the Crate V5 and Palomino V8 combos are pretty good sounding. Had one of each for a while.

Valve Jr sounds pretty good.
Jet city PicoValve sounds pretty good.
Ibanez TS15 whatever sounds pretty good and has a built-in tube-screamer. whoo.
The Orange Microterror is surprisingly good even with it's little cab. cute.

Bugera v5. I've had a lot of the small 5 watt amps......its the only one I kept

valve jr. i am actually selling mine... rehoused (raw plywood, i think it looks cool), with a 10" wgs veteran speaker. effin kills... let me know if you're interested.

probably not the current average going price, but the cheapest tube amp I ever bought -and stupidly sold- was a tweed USA made Fender Pro Jr. One bottom corner was fucked up, hence the low price. Sounded magnificant, in a sparkly clean fender kinda way...
