If you guys already knew about this and didn't tell me, I harbor a personal, intense hatred for your general vicinity.

AnalogueHaven has both the
Thingamagoop and the even more crazy, DIY
Thingamakit.

This drummer i play with has one. It's the COOLEST fucking thing ever.
It's a blast. I can't find any practical non noise application for it. I will.
I need to get one of my own. They're so much fun.

Also, they sell a kit version for $70 that has two led's and modulaaaaatiooooooooooooooooon!!!
http://bleeplabs.com/thingamakit/BALLS!! Ya mo have to put together $70 quick. I think it's gonna find a place in my guitar rig pretty fast. You GOTTA love true bypass loopers (more on THAT laters)!! It's gonna sound so fuckin' silly through my Shoog.

Guilty... I have one of the kits sitting in a box on my floor just waiting to be brought to blinking, squawking, bleeping life. The Thingamagoops look cool as shite but figured I'd go with the kit since it's cheaper and has a few more settings to tweak plus I get to try my hand at building... but we'll see how that goes. Maybe not practical in a guitar situation but I dig the noise stuff too so this should fit right in...

Dude, you DEF gotta fill me in on how it works when you get it done. Does the enclosure have holes pre drilled or am I gonna have to bum a drill press off someone?
I figure it'd add some loopyness to my guitar rig. People will see this blinking light and wonder what it's for. I kick it in and pretend I'm doing something AMAZING on the guitar... TAG, I'm god (get it? playing god?)

sjtele might have an update, but the pics I've seen of the enclosures are undrilled. I think a regular hand drill and clamp should suffice.

Yep, the enclosures are undrilled. I'm just going the hand drill route tho, should be fine. They give you a template for the holes which helps. I've seen people put them in some cool whacked enclosures **see Caesar's post above**, I'm gonna keep things as simple as I can tho. I'm still undecided how I'm gonna finish the outside but chances are it won't be pretty.
Here's a finished one and what you start with...

I really like what this guy did to his Mad*l doll:

Mine is just a lil' old stock one, but it is fun to break out once and a while; will be better once I throw a noise board together. Here is the lil' guy, perched blurrily on my amp:
