It's pretty much the only thing the Boss RV-5 is good for.

Those trex whirly verbs are tempting. Less than $80 all day.

The Mr Black Supermoons are really great. Those things can get downright wobbly, especially the Chrome.

The flerb on the cathedral/grails sucks. Unless you infinite mod it and do it really slow, then it sound aight. Otherwise my only other encounter with mod verb is the space, which is great on a few algorithms

BitQuest can do an amazing infinite modulation reverb.
Then I'll echo the others:
RV-5, Supermoon / Supermoon Chrome, some of the HOF algorithms. Those are the ones I have experience with at least. The Supermoon's is dark and moody, RV-5 was the standard for a while. At least with the HOF you can make your own preset and store it

I've semi recreated the RV5 modulated sound with the Eventide Space :idk:

If you haven't already, go nuts with the Toneprint editor for the Hall of Fame. It has different types of modulation, you can feedback the modulation and filter the feedback, adjust ramp time. I was somewhat successful in emulating an oil can delay with it! Very flexible.

The one of the BitQuest is actually really, really good. :!!!:

I had the Trinity 2 for a while, but it gave me no control over the modulation and it was just super soupy. :idk:

Eventide stuff does modulated 'verb awesomely. For the cheaper end, the Zoom stuff of recent years emulates a lot of those Eventide sounds well, as well as other companies'. Their emulation of the Flerb sound makes me say "meh" but so do demos of that sound in EHX pedals. HOF's stock mod verb sound isn't bad at all, and a lot of the available toneprints do mod verb stuff, too.

My bandmate has a TC T2 or whatever its called and it kills the modulated verb, love it.

Supermoon, expensive but worth it, I can play that pedal for hours

I know the Meet Maude is actually a delay, but you can get it pretty slapback/reverby/washy. And the modulation is gorgeous!

RV-5 is the illest
the modulated is awesome
I don't have issue with the other settings either

plate mod on the supernatural is pretty dern good too

Didn't love the flerb settings from EHX, but I don't generally love EHX stuff all that much

I can get FX500 reverb+mod sounds with Eventide Space and Zoom MS70 and I'm happy with either.
