Spent the evening making this chickenplucker right. Relocated and routed below the bridge so it'll intonate and be at a proper height, relocated the pups to line up better with the strings, shielded the shit out of everything, and adjusted the nut for correct string height and diameter. Plays like a dream now.

It is a real neck through! and that does look mahogonyish and mapleyish.

Had a few other issues, the tuners were shit on arrival, but I took one apart and realized it has a spring steel tensioner for the gears. Some filing and bending and they actually feel nice and work well now. The frets were just installed, never leveled and crowned. Glue residue all over the fret board. Other than that, the wood is nice, finish is nice Pickups sound great now that they are in the right spots. Pretty happy with it but would not reccomend to anyone not expecting and able to do a little work on one.

You need to make a "Chickenfucker" headstock decal in the Roc font.

If I may offer a suggestion. It would be a good idea to fit a hard maple block/filler into the neck pickup route (perhaps with a good strong epoxy) and then re-route the neck pickup removing ONLY as much as is needed.
Basses like these can get into trouble if too much material is removed in that area.
