Science Mother for a Bass

Really considering ordering one of these for my bass. First, does anyone have any thoughts and/or played through one with a bass? Looking for some advice, been playing through a old school Laney solid state, which has been giving me some kickass tones through both my rick and 'sploder, though it does clip a bit, could be time for a service. From the description it seems like it would fit the bill for what I play, mostly mild fuzzy, slightly overdriven bass. A mix out of doom, sludge, and 80s metal riffin. Lookin' for some more headroom though. I would use pedals for the rest. I can#t find any damn vids with a bass for it though. Anyone on here have one so they can snag a bass and play some riffs for me? Thoughts? Advice?

I'd really recommend emailing Alex, the builder (scienceamps[at]gmail.com), he is super friendly and informative. And replies quickly to boot. My guess would be it would work great though since I think it's designed with basses in mind.

The bassist/baritone guitarist from Darto uses the Mother.
They're more of a noisy post rock band, but when I asked about the Mother, Alex sent me clips of these guys.
