I need to remember this is a thing next year; I may try to set up my own event in a local brewery some of my buddies opened

Awesome! 5 seconds after I saw this, I started asking around to put a small event together in Thunder Bay.

I'm trying to set up a group drone locally and I'll definitely record that. I'll also send in something solo most likely.

Totes agree. I don't care if it's a digital only release (which largely eliminates the need for "rules"), does anyone else? I feel like having everything done by the 9th would be cool, but shouldn't be a requirement by any means.

I might try to record something for a drone comp but I have no idea how that will go. I'm relatively new at recording but maybe having an actual goal will push me in the right direction
