hooooly shit no midi pickup required and zero latency.
:excellent:
the demo was awful but that's pretty standard for boss demos.

I want to run a CT5 to it and make it go crazy. 8D

Assuming derived from the pitch detection (mono with some poly if you're clean sometimes) in the 001/100, hitting it with anything wacky won't do a whole lot - it'll be internally figuring it out with MIDI probably.

Will need to see more.

I have a feeling making adjustments to the settings will be very basic.

Also not my thing, but synths are cool. I want to have that saw-wave bass for my dance music side idea that will never leave my bedroom.

it seems to be sort of basic compared to previous GR units and based on using pitch-to-midi conversion to control modeling oscillators that are fed into effects (up to 3 oscillators and 4 effects at a time)
so maybe a bit limited tweakability and none of the sampled madness as per the previous units. it actually seems more like a competitor to the eventide pitchfactor than anything.
at least it's polyphonic, that's pretty impressive with the whole zero latency thing.
i just want a GR-33 with USB and deeper editing functionality that doesn't need a midi pickup.

Realistically it'll require a hex pickup or equivalent for a long, long time just because of how the detection works barring a LOT of advances.

GR-55 matches except for the pickup thing, and then some.

Deep ridiculous USB editing in spades.

Sounds like it's a pretty demanding pedal that takes over your tone.

A pretty bossy pedal, in other words.

What's this about sampled madness?
