I REALLY dislike how the vocals are mixed, and the youtube compression doesn't do the rest justice, but overall .

That album cover is fucking rad.

I dunno, I like this mix better than anything else I've heard recently from J or Dinosaur

I dunno what I think about this one. Sort of a head scratcher to me that there's no guitar solo with that cool sound from the intro. I know it comes back at the end, but I wanted to hear a "here is no why" type of lead or something tasty during the bridge.

The singer sounds like he's asleep.

All that being said, I've never understood this kind of music and that makes me the minority here. I hope you guys dig this album when it comes out.

Heh. All perfectly understandable critiques - Dino Jr. is definitely one of those bands that intentionally put themselves into a "love 'em or leave 'em" niche. The bit about J Mascis sounding like he's asleep is hilariously true. The funny thing is, I think he's sounding more animated these days than he ever has.

I'm looking forward to this album a lot, but it's definitely the kind of thing that only some of my friends are into...

Oh, and I wish that intro sound came back as a solo, too - considering J's love for the extended solo, I'm kind of surprised that it didn't show up again...

Personally I understood why people liked Dino jr. but I never could get into them. However this new song hits me just the right way. i like everything about it, way more than any other dino jr. song I've heard.

The new album is softer(by D Jr. standards of course), but it is still amazing!
