I've been using less pedals these days and sometimes I just want to bring a couple down to my studio with me versus bring my board (which isn't that big PT-2, but less to carry is good). Anyone use rechargeable 9v batteries for pedals? How do they last versus regular ones? Is there any difference in longevity?

My experience with rechargables has led me to always have the trusty disposable backups. They loose memory after a while. At least have double the rechargables that you need fully charged. That goes for all of them...been stuck with shorted batteries on job sites enough with tools.

Just buy a spare one spot for the studio.

I already have a one-spot and daisy chain. Pp2+ on my board. Less wires would be better but I might just have to do it.

I'm going battery as well, wherever possible. Blame the ipad, for getting me hooked on the freedom of wireless power.
I got a Vox V847 wah in a trade the other day, not realizing that it runs on battery only, so it made me take a closer look at the battery lifestyle, and this time I liked what I saw. For me (home/studio use) it's going to be a big time and headache saver. I rearrange my pedals way too often not to take advantage of the option, and I'm sick of hassling with the extra power mess, and would rather just swap out batteries once in a while.
I don't have a lot of luck with onespots; I own two of them, but I usually end up needing to power each pedal separately for best sound/lowest noise/finicky fuzzes/etc. Isolated power for all is usually the only way to get everything to play together properly, so batteries are ideal for playing around with the order, whereas onespots are a quagmire of noise and placement restrictions. I also don't like being limited to 9v, and need to be able to drop in a 12/18/24 volt here and there without fucking up the mix, so individual battery power is the most direct route for that kind of freedom with the best results and least mess. Total voltage freedom at last. It's also breathed new life into my gas list, making me take a fresh look at all kinds of battery powered and higher voltage pedals.
