I was wondering if someone here is into indie games. Through the last few years some wonderful inspiring artistic and intellectual games have been released so i'll show you some. I think this should be in the art forum, but well, just in case i'll post it here.

Free games:

Today i die (interactive poetry)
Don't look back (really hard ;) )
GROW Series (Not as intellectual, but really artistic funny and innovative)
DOEO Japanese randomness.
Sprout Nice notepad look and surprisingly pleasant
Karoshi suicide salaryman This one is fucking crazy. Your objetive is to get your japanese stressed salarayman killed. And you'll have to figure out how to do it. Damn funny.

Not-free (link to the demo):

Braid (An amazing mind behind a beautiful game, inteligent as hell puzzles!!) Available for mac too :thumb:
Crayon physics deluxe (crayon graphics and realistic physics, very nice)

Fez Trailer (Still in development)

And if someone here has got a nintendo wii, download Lost Winds!! It's worth every penny!

I'm into Touhou, thus the avatar. The games are actually sold in japan, but they're still indie since they're Doujin games (self published). Touhou games are fantastic.

Of course they're not "officially" translated so you'd have to torrent the translated versions. I'm pretty sure ZUN doesn't give a crap though, if he does buy him some alcohol and he'll go quiet again.

Last thing I played that was really 'indie' was Million Knights Vermilion. I can't say it's..good, because it really isn't.

It's a douijn 2D fighting game (Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, so forth) and the character art is done by the people who drew for Senko no Ronde: Wartech, Persona 3 and 4. I played it for one character, and deleted it :| Two games that are both artistic and beautiful, but aren't exactly indie, are ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. I love those two games <3 I highly recommend them to the people who haven't played them yet.
