Good news everyone. Also 2x12 question.

If you've seen my B/S/T thread, you've seen my fucked up car.

The rental also got hit when I was at dinner. Someone took the side mirror off and drove away without even a question.

I got laid off. Dey took er jerbs.

But today friends, I got a new job that pays more than I was previously. It's awesome. Let's all get drunk and talk about 2x12's.

I traded my Orange 4x12 for a Vox ac-15 in some fucking awesome 2 tone color scheme.

Problem is: I need a 2x12 for my skyhammer. I've been thinking about a Verellen 2x12, but I also would like to be portable and not 100 lbs.

What 2x12's do you guys use? I'll need to wait a month or so to get my out of control debt and crippling depression under control with the aid of large sums of money - but after that I'm down to clown with the dankest fucking 2x12 ever. Let's say budget of $600-$700. I plan on this being THE 2x12 that I use for the rest of my gigging days.

4x12's literally don't fit in my car.

Dominion Cabs by our very own Trace would be my first suggestion, he could probably even stain it to match the Verellen!

We've also got Mauler Cabs represented here through ShaolinLambKiller, his stuff is pretty gnar and does stained wood as well.

Gotta admit now I wanna start my own line of cabs called Dank Cabs, maybe even find a way to make an accessible stash box built in for touring musicians.

Check out Mauler as AA suggested if you want wood. ;) I really like Avatar 212's as well, and they won't break the bank (~$550 with shipping for a 'signature' 212 last I checked). I use one of their traditional ones, and it's fantastic.

The two 2x12s I've purchased (used of course) match your money wants, but not your size needs.

Soldano 2x12 - big and heavy
G-Flex ported 2x12 with 2 EV 12Ls - even heavier!

I would buy that in a fucking heartbeat.

Congrats on the good news OP. I wish I had more experience with upscale 2x12's. I have the 2x12 to end all 2x12's - a dripedge dual showman that literally sounds bad with nothing - as wide as most oversized 4x12s and a good foot or so taller.

Maybe find a used Matamp or Emperor cab?

If only I had any wood working skills what so ever hahahaha

I'd have to make em in a limited color selection: Green and Orange for guitar cabs (for the extra heady treble), Green and Purple for bass cabs (for them body feels), both only available with White accents and tan grill cloth

Now to make it happen.
