For $13.49, this might be horrible or awesome:

Caught wind of this the other day. Only demo/review content I've found on it is a cigar-box guitar evangelist who mods these by taking off the mounting hardware to mount to boxes. Can't tell how good/bad since all those hipster shitboxes sound pretty shit to me. Odd that I haven't found a sound-hole use demo.
FSM knows how close or far to a real goldfoil these are. Those were about as cheap and easy to make as possible. I might just impulse five in if no one else has been there yet.
update: this has got to be the same thing but with different cosmetics for half the price with cheap slow shipping from China: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acoustic-Guitar ... 5aeee77534 A bunch of similar listings come up for "soundhole pickup" and I saw some similar looking thing with a chrome or nickel cover in a picture at OffsetGuitars. Totally the thing for an old American made department store guitar from Goodwill--I wish my first guitar had lived to see one of these.
