Dunno about the Space Station issue, but Skullservant built bigchiefbc a badass delay in a wah enclosure. I don't know if he's taking on new builds at the moment, though, but that should be a totally doable thing...

John at Basic Audio might still make you a Throbby is a wah enclosure. Someone was selling one on here in B/S/T recently though.

1. Contact the guy @ guitargeek that does the XP-1000 mods. He's probably the authority on that form factor.
2. Aren't the ROM chips in the XP series interchangeable? Couldn't one in theory swap your Space Station chip and dump it into one of the other models?

1. I think a dude who goes bt GovtLackey on DIY forums works Space Station mods in the U.S., too. Does Ian/Gigahearts do the same in the UK, or am I confusing that?
2. They are. The easiest to lay hands on cheap is the XP-100 Whammy, but mono only. Unless you want to mod the enclosure and swap guts, if that's feasible.
What I really want to figure out is if there's a way to get more of the XP sounds, particularly the Space Station stuff, in my IPS-33B. I've got string synth, shimmer, arpegiators, but I'm interested in more, particularly the reverse stuff. That ever shown up on anyone's radar?

With regards point 2 - sometimes... but different models have different amount of RAM, and as such you need to match the RAM to the ROM. But in theory, yes, it can work.
With regards rehouse, this would be really difficult.
My best / cheapest suggestion would be to find a "donor" XP for cheap in good condition and just swap the guts over.
XP all / XP 1000's are quite decent, but quite expensive. If you only need the space station, my idea would be cheapest

GovLackey does good work, buy his stuff. he has one for $300 on madbean :

I dont personally do these mods, I know a guy in Europe that does for a ridiculous cheap rate. Hence, I own an XP-all but didnt do the work myself.

also, post pics. whats wrong with it?
A common complaint is the bumpers that set the toe and heel get worn through; those can easily be replaced.
Also, the treadly can wobbly / go loose. With the right tools thats easy to tighten up. Otherwise I cant see what might go wrong really.

@gigahearts_fx its just falling apart, the power supply pops out sometimes, buttons getting sketchy
that kinds of thing.

Other than the plastic sides, the rest is sheet metal, and can be refurbished. Switches can be replaced, as well as the jack. The plastic footswitches are still available, there's a gent in Germany that sells them as part of a refurb kit. I bought a couple as back ups. If the sides are OK, I would just refurb the housing you have now. At the most, pick up a cheap XP-100, 200, or 400, and just transfer everything. Be a good time to do the output volume mod too.
Govmnt_Lacky is the man to see for the XP-ALL work. His workmanship is top notch, but then again, he was my partner in crime for the XP-ALL / XP-ALL+ project, so I might be just a tad biased.
