Edits in bold. I hope this makes everyone feel better! I also went ahead and changed some grammar as well since that will be the next thing to be brought up.

So, I just placed an order for several strings. (It was a purchase of about $80 worth of strings.I justify this action by telling myself it was essentially a pedal trade.)

Every so often I'm supposed to check out new strings and/or different types of strings. Its how I was raised. Sometimes changing strings can change perspectives. Brand loyalty only matters if you love what you're using. Otherwise, it can be switched until you find your "voice"- all ofthat hippie shit.

So, I just ordered a bunch of 11s. Acoustic, Electric, Varying types of Ernie Ball, Ghs, Dr, and Dunlop strings. I am Trying to find something better than my beloved D'Addario strings(I like them because they're decent strings and the color coding works on dummies like me- take a red off, put new red on. Its Easy; it is not confusing).

A major problem I have with D'Addario is that the only 7-string set of 11 gauge strings that they offer is their flatwound variety. I've tried them but hate them. So, I was purchasing brands that were offered and also had 7-string 11s.

Later, I find out that Dean Markley has 7-string 11s, too. Also, Ernie Ball has M-Steel equivalent strings for acoustics. Should I go ahead and place another order or wait until I've gone through some of the pile of strings that are about to be delivered? Either way its going to be placed.

original post behind the cut. Don't you all feel so much better now? It was totally worth spending nearly 20 minutes on revising a silly post. If only everyone spent as much time making their silly posts better, too! I wonder, will the quality of responses go up after making such effort?

I will fix the typographical errors. You see, I am using a laptop with missing keys. I have to manually nipple-rub each circuit spot. Sometimes I press and press and can't get it off, so I say "nevermind! Next letter!" Sometimes I press lightly and this sensitive slut just puts out. sometimes I spend a lot of time revising my posts. Sometimes I give up and don't post. Sometimes I get frustrated at the keyboard and decide to click submit without checking because it took so long to type.

Take this post for example. It took 15 minutes to write and edit it.

Last time I bought strings I switched from d'adarrio to DR for similar reasons as you rambled about, no need for brand loyalty and all that. I like the DRs more, but I can't put it into words why. They are loosin their freshness faster though, if that matters.

I like DR strings the best and I've tried a bunch. I prefer the 11-50 Tite Fits. Tension feels very well balanced, rarely(if ever) break, and they sound new forever in my experience.

i'd say try the Dean Markley strings when you get a chance, they're my favourite brand thus far i just buy d'addario instead because they're like half the price where i live.
