I came across this Wired article claiming this is what Apple would do if it made guitars:

If Apple made a guitar it would only work with Apple's own cables, amp, and effects "processors". And it would be made redundant every six months when the new guitar came out.

cheapest materials, maximum price.

Apple guitar wouldn't have tuners. You'd could only use their proprietary tuning, which would be controlled by firmware, and change with their daily updates.

Muse actually used to be one of my favourite bands. I still really like some of their earlier stuff actually.
But that guitar is dope. Not an iPad though, I believe it's just some kind of MIDI x-y pad.

That being said Apple would totally put an iPad in their guitar and this. 100% this:

guitar in the OP has some neat ideas but i think the obscene price outweighs any benefits...

These always struck me as being pretty Apple-ish in appearance.
