do you have a preferred neck size/shape?

Is this something you've figured out or narrowed down? I have this junky First Act tele that has a more comfortable neck than my two nicer electric guitars, which have C-shaped necks of unknown depth/radius. I don't know if the first act is just thicker or is U-shaped or what but it rules. When you're looking for a new guitar, how much consideration do you give these factors?
I was supposed to post this in guitar/bass but I forgot. I can computer.

I don't put much thought into the neck as it kind depends on th instrument.
I tend to enjoy thicker necks. I owned a Phiga with an ungodly neck. It was ridiculous.
That being said, something like an ibanez needs a thin neck. So to me it isn't so much "neck" as "complete guitar".
I won't evr build a warmoth because I don't know what their neck lingo means. And I'll die before I get caught playing a SRV in a store.

It sort of depends on the guitar for me and what i'm going for at the time. i really like the squier J mascis neck (9.5 radius, kinda hefty C, jumbo frets) but also adore SUPER thin necks (ibanez wizard II, peavey T15) but those give me joint pain in my hands so i asked for basically a slightly slimmed down version of the Mascis style on my Harvester guitar and that's just right for me.
It's a super subjective thing, everyone has different size/shape hands and different technique so you really just have to try different stuff. Gibson necks make me want to jump off a bridge but obviously they're perfect for a lot of people too. I definitely had to try a lot of different guitars to work out what suits me. Neck shape is probably about the most important aspect of any guitar to me, tied equally with how the body shape sits on me (also subjective based on what works with your body size/profile, how low you hang the guitar on a strap or how you sit etc).

Soft V, small U/D, chucky C. So, as long is it's not skinny and not too much like a baseball bat.
Small/vintage frets.

I'd be happy if all guitars had necks like a P-bass.

Okay, you get two options when shopping for necks online.
But to get the J-style one you gotta choose "child size" in the drop menu

Best: USA Reverend Slingshot Jr.
I sadly haven't been able to play mine in 6 months, but I remember it was chunky towards the nut and it got flatter towards the 12th fret. It was the first "real" guitar I had after my Squier, so I am not an unbiased observer. I judge all necks by that one.
Good Enough: My 2006 American Series Strat has a modern C profile and I am always happy to play it.

Coincidentally, I've been looking at Slingshots recently and an American Series Strat (1999 though) is my main guitar. I also feel "good enough" about the Strat neck, and I've had it for so long that I'm entirely used to it, but realizing that I like the neck profile of my shitty First Act made me realize that it might not even be the best thing for me.

The Slingshot won't be drastically different, just a bit more refined.

J Bass for bass neck, all the way. With a P Bass body, please. No, really, I need another body for this neck I have... The more recent Mustang and Bronco Squier short scale necks are fun too. Pretty sure I'm going to get a Squier Mikey Way Mustang bass for my next instrument. Nice neck and humbucker, silver metalflake finish, weird racing stripe. Don't know as I've heard MCR before, but guy has a sweet bass.
50's thick Gibson neck for guitar, or what passes for one. Very similar comfortable necks with both the 57 LP Jr Epiphone and Agile Jr / Melody Maker I have. The Squiers I have are OK, playable, but I kept the two LP styles for P-90's and comfy necks.
